All our bodies are custom built to suit the truck they are being fitted to and we take the time to make sure the job is done right, from start to finish. Your safety depends on it. We are also the Australian distributor for the Poyntz Covered wagon tarping system, which was developed by Poyntz Manufacturing in Canada. You can purchase them in kit form to be fitted to your existing trailer or truck tray or we can supply the complete truck body. The Poyntz covered wagon is ideal for bricks, turf, timber and many other industries. They are the perfect advertising tool with full clear sides. The main advantage of the Poyntz covered wagon is safety and the time saving factor, for example, in order to tarp a load, the driver has to get up on the load and roll the tarp out, he then needs to secure the tarp, this can take up to an hour and with the risk of falling off of the truck, but with the Poyntz covered wagon it's simply a touch of a button at ground level and the side is open and closed in seconds. When compared to a curtain side body the Poyntz covered wagon is much faster to secure and a much lighter tare weight option. We have customers who have replaced there curtain side trailers with Poyntz covered wagons and have found a 1.5 hour time saving per day on a 5 drop metro delivery, once again the ease of pressing a button to open and close the side without the need of buckles. The other big advantage is on windy days it's very dangerous to open your curtain sider, but the Poyntz covered wagon has a tube support and two swing arms which hold it all together.
